Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

How do we use your personal information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

Seal Subscription Privacy Policy

  1. Introduction

    Seal Subscriptions, the company providing the Seal Subscriptions service, respects individual privacy and values the confidence of their customers, employees, consumers, business partners and others.

    This Privacy Policy will help you better understand how we collect, use, and share your personal information. If we change our privacy practices, we may update this privacy policy.

  2. Merchants' data

    When you install the app, we are automatically able to access certain types of personal information.

    • We collect your email address in case we have to contact you about our services.
    • We collect data about the websites, hosted by the Company, you visit. This includes your IP address, time of your visit, how you visited the website and other network information.
      We need this information to provide you with our Services.
    • We collect personal information about your customers that you share with us. We need this data to provide the Services to you and your customers.
    • We may also use personal information for other cases if you have given us your permission to do so.

     

  3. Merchants' Customers' data

    When merchant's customer places an order or makes a purchase in merchant's store, we receive information about this order. We collect some information about this order and personal information about the customer to provide the Service. Sensitive personal data is always encrypted in our database, using the Advanced Encryption Standard algorithm.

    • We collect customer's name, email address, shipping address, billing address.
      We require this information to provide the Service to you and your customer.
    • For subscriptions with an active automatic charging functionality, we also collect the last four numbers of the payment card, expiration date of the payment card and the payment card type. We never collect nor save the complete payment card details.
      We require this information to provide the Service to you and your customer.
    • When merchant's customers browse the merchant's shop, we might collect their network information, such as IP address, time of the visit and other network information for the purpose of providing the Service.
    • We may also use personal information for other cases if you have given us your permission to do so.

     

  4. Data Storage & Data Security

    The data collected by us is stored on secure servers, located in Toronto, Canada.

    Sensitive personal information is encrypted with AES algorithms and access to the data is restricted.

    The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

  5. Data Retention

    Any personal data we might receive for the purpose of providing the Service will be deleted 7 days after the merchant stops using the Service and uninstalls the app, unless we have to keep it longer for business purposes.

    The customer's data is automatically deleted if we receive an automated request from Shopify to delete data about a specific customer. We also automatically delete subscriptions and all data associated with them if we receive a request from Shopify to delete data related to specific orders.

    The customer's data related to cancelled subscriptions is automatically deleted 7 days after cancellation, if the merchant turns on the option to automatically delete cancelled subscriptions.

  6. Cookies

    We use some cookies to provide the Service.

    • We may use session cookie to identify the merchant when accessing the administration pages.
    • We may use security cookies for security purposes of the service.
    • We may use preference cookies to remember your preferences and various settings when using the Service.

     

  7. Children's Privacy

    Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").

    We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

  8. Changes to this privacy policy

    We may update this document from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this document periodically for any changes. Changes to this document are effective when they are posted on this page.
